What moderately priced video card are most people using now for IV? What sort of monitor specs are needed?
My company wants to upgrade my system, as right now I have an on-board video card and a 17" LCD monitor which I find quite uncomfortable to use?

In Inventor click Help / Graphics Drivers & check out the Inventor certified
cards. I think most people here use nVidia Quadro FX cards. I'm surprised
you got Inventor to run with onboard video.

Bigger is better. Dual 19" monitors will pay for themselves.
PCI-Express is the new whizbang thing, but AGP will get you quite a ways
still.

I have 2 19" LCD's and a nvidia Quadro 3400FX PCIe, and couldn't be
happier...
