Hi'
Can someone explain:
1/ What is the meaning of authoring (in the Inventor's case) of electrical parts?
2/ Why it is needed? Why for normal parts we do not author and for electrical parts yes?
3/ What does it causes?
Thanks,

Parts for Routed Systems (Cable and Harness, Tube and Pipe), are authored to create connection geometry that will be used when routing cables or pipe systems. The authoring tells Inventor what type of fitting or connector it is, and establishes connection "rules" so you will not need to use standard constraints to assemble.
Here is a link to the wiki help for IV 2013... authoring should be the same for most releases... I think. 🙂
