Inventor asks for flash player to be installed but I have latest version

Trying to do the tutorials in a trial version of Inventor 2014 but have the above problem.

Can anyone help please?

Regards, texteditor.

Inventor needs the ActiveX version of Flash Player. If you use Internet Explorer to download Flash Player this will install the version that Inventor needs. Using Firefox (and possibly other borwsers as well; I only tried it with Firefox) will install the Plugin version of Flash Player, which apparently does not work to play the tutorials in Inventor. Below is a link to Adobe's explanation of the different versions

How does Flash Player differ on various browsers?

What version of flash are you running? I had this same issue as well as others on this thread here:

But after the latest update from the Flash website, the tutorials started working for me.

Here is what I am using now, and the tutorials work.
