inventor and catia

some one say what is the difference between inventor and catia. which is better and why . which is used most .

Have you researched and looked at the feature differences between them?  These types of discussions all come down to personal preference.

And, how you use the software in your industry.  Which software has the features you need most in your business.

FYI - I have heard this kind of question for a long long time. IMO apart from Cadmanto' response, it would be better to rise your question in 3rd party's forum when comparing Inventor and Catia. Because the members here obviously will tell you Inventor is the better one and Catia users will acts in the similar way. And if you are the one to choose a cad software you also need to do a search on autodesk and catia websites before making decision.
