Inventor 8

Ok, I hope it not too soon to talk About Inventor 8? What new features will there be. I hear that the idw is going to change quite a bit. More like Mechanical. I hope not. Believe it or not I like the way Inventor does dimensioning over Mechanical. Dimensioning in Inventor is simple. Autocad you have to keep track of too many things. Doug DuPont

To get a better picture of R8, you could sign up for beta-testing, sign
the NDA, and see for yourself.

Anyone that knows any of the answers would be breaking the NDA they signed if they said
anything.

Yes....... But the Autodesk® Inventor 8 Professional eBeta is open.

As far as I know you do break the NDA saying anything else
than that there will be a next version of Inventor ;-).
Im in the beta test and I wont dare say to anything about the
"next version of IV".

I do not think you're even allowed to say that you are a beta-tester 😉

Sorry for posting the detials from the streamline site Anne, i did check the email that i recieved with those detials on and it didnt say anything about not telling others about the information on the streamline site. I notice that that presentation file has now been removed from the site so i take it that was published in error. I am not a Beta tester and the information was only very brief, i will keep what i know to myself.

It was caught quickly by several people and removed. If you had
been a beta tester, the NDA that comes with being beta states no
comment at all on the beta software even mentioning that you are
involved in the testing.
