Inventor 5 wont open!!!

So i recently tried to load Inventor 5 onto my home computer. The installation went fine, but now the welcome image opens (a spaceship) for a couple seconds, disappears, and then nothing else happens. any help would be great!

It's a very deep sub-mersible

Inv should go to the Activation/Registration screen after the initial splash screen.

Did you disable your anti-virus when installing ?

Do you have Flash8(a) installed - remove using the utility from
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157
And then install Flash9 http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer

Do you have Excell on your home machine? it is required for inventor and if
just installed excell you must open excell at least once to activate it.

You might also make sure that your home machine has a graphics card/drivers
that supported INV5
