Inventor 5: Showing general dimesnions is not showing properly.

What I mean by this is, in my autodesk inventor when you add a general dimension on a line or something it usually appears like this.

<-----------------------1.000---------------------->

but for me it is showing like this

<-------------------------------------------------->
0

1

For soem odd reason it will not show the length of a line, it'll just show random numbers strewn about on the working space. This is very difficult to work with and please respond if you have any idea what the problem might be. Thank you : )

Is this on the screen or on the printout?

If it is on the screen your video card would likely be suspect. Is your
card on the approved list here?

If it is in the printout go into the windows print properties and check
print text as graphics.

I checked and my video card is compatable. Thanks for the speedy reply and do tell if you can think of any other reasons. 🙂

I would first make sure you are up to date on SP's and then start trying different video
drivers versions.

I don't have an answer for you but I do have the same problem that you described. I hope someone might have an answer for us!

Sincerely, John S. Wracher
