I'm aware that one use Windows Explorer and right click on an Inventor assembly file to do a pack and go. A window popup appears and you can fill in the appropriate output directory, etc. But what I'm looking for is the ability to use pack and go from a command line with Inventor 2015.
We are having problems with students colliding in saving the same assembly and would like to fully automate the use of pack and go to copy their work so we have a complete version to go back to in case of problems in saving to GrabCAD. (GrabCAD doesn't have a way to lock individual parts of an assembly in Inventor 2015.)
What I'd like to know if there's a MS-DOS command like this: INVENTOR/PACKANDGO/INPUT=assembly.iam/OUTPUT=c:\aleady-existing-empty-directory along with whatever other switches are needed to resolve the components in the assembly.
Anybody done something like this and can share the MS-DOS commands?
Thanks!
