Hi N.Tesla,
The last few years the release date has been toward the end of March, but Autodesk typically does not give a date until just a week or so before it is released:

Of course, it's often recommended to hold off installing a new release until after it's been out for a while and hotfixes and service packs have been made available, but that is a decision for each person or their design department to make. Still most users would be well advised to test the new release first, before jumping into it for production work.
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,
Curtis

I don't think disc will help you - the reconfiguration of your computer might be seen as an attempt to defeat the 30-day trial lock which then automatically require activation of the license.

Normally Autodesk posts a request for Beta Testers each fall. You would need to request to be a Beta Tester, you are then given access to the beta site and allowed to download and test the software. Beta for IV2014 would pretty much be done by now.
Since Autodesk make Beta Tester sign non-disclosure agreements it's pretty much a hush world.
