Is there a good source of material mechanical properties on the internet? I have been creating a custom material library with the materials I normally use and I've just been duplicating a material from the supplied libraries to create mine with a name change only. I'd like to include the correct mechanical properties if I could find a source of information that has all the properties in the format that the Inventor 2013 materials editor requires.
Thanks,
Chris Hutchinson
Hi chrishutchinson6900,
Here is one source:
I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

matweb is the best I've found.. I use it all the time.. Be prepared to do some annoying math to get the correct units for Inventor.
I wish Inventor had more of a dropdown next to each value allowing you to enter any of the common unit formats and it would do the conversion for you..
I use convert.exe
I typicaly just use google. It's quite capable for most common math and conversions. I downloaded you converter though, it looks useful.
For that purpose, you can change units for whole material library, then edit it, and change units back. You can do that in material library bottom left options.
