Inventor 2013, creating projection views in ipt file

Is it possible to create projection views of a solid model part? I want to make a front, top and right side view of the part in solid model form all on the same part file. I thought I could copy the part in each view but "help" says I can't copy a solid model...

If what you want is to display multiple views of a part at the same time in an ipt file, I don't think there is any way I know of to do that.  You would have to create a drawing and do it there.

You could create a sketch and then project the surface geometry into it... but I can't see why you'd want to?

Almost sounds like you want to create a drawing with all the related views.

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file
