Give it time, a iCore3 isn't the fastest of machines, what you are asking it to do will take some time, possibly 15 min to import/convert a large file. It's only using a core of the CPU and a iCore3 is at the bottom end of current processors.

A good gaming card would help but putting a really fast part on a slow machine is still a slow machine with a fast part. You may also check if you can disable the on-board graphics card on your motherboard to allow for a "above-board" graphics card.

This should list cards with ratings and price. Generally as fast as you can afford for Inventor.

A graphics card that is built into the motherboard is considered a "on-board" card. Any card that plugs into the slots is considered a "above-board" card.

When you said you had a on-board graphics card in your system, this means the card is built into the main motherboard. It would have to be disabled within the bios settings of your machine for you to add a above-board card.
