Hi All,
I am curious if anyone is expereincing the same issues I am and possibly has found a fix. I am running Autocad Factory Design Premium which includes Inventor 2012. I have a pretty decent workstation and am experiencing several crashes each hour.
From what I can tell it appears to be due to the 3d mouse. At least every other or 3rd time I'm assembling parts or sub-assys and go to orbit the model it crashes. This does not seem to be a problem if I don't have the 3d mouse plugged in and otherwise Inventor is rather stable. The other programs in the suite also are pretty stable.
I'm current on my drivers for all items and it jsut drives me nuts because I've really gotten used to using my 3d mouse... If you have any tips or thoughts could you please let me know? I'm requesting the crash reports be e-mailed to my retailer so that perhaps we can troubleshoot the issue.
Cheers,
Matt Brown

I've noticed that this does not seem to be a problem using constrain instead of assemble.
Hi Matt,
I hope that the installation of hot fix http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=DL16762044 could help.
Please, read the Readme file for the installation instruction.
