INVENTOR 2012 AND 2014

why investor 2012 doesnt work in my pc, i downloaded it into my pc and doesnt open and also i downloades 2014 and it keeps doing the same, my pc is a windows 8, can somebody help me please? "THE APPLICATION WAS UNABLE TO START CORRECTLY (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application"

 tha is the message that i get , help me please!!!!!!!!

Hi Lipe,

 

i suggest to use the 2014 release.

 

To make it works, you have just to install this service pack:

Nether 2012,2013 or 2014 are directly compatible with Windows 8. to get them to work there's a lot or registry hacks needed They may be compatible with Windows 8.1. There have been numerous post on these boards about this here is a link to the 1000+ results

Inventor 2014 is compatible with Windows 8  (64 bit).

Make sure that you have downloaded and installed all the SP's and Updates for your ADSK product.

Every release of Inventor since 2011 now works on win8/8.1 but as mentioned below only if you apply the latest Service packs &/or updates.

 

No registry hacks are required, but you do need to run a manual dll registration command after installing the Service packs &/or updates.

 

For example for 2012, first see this


Then follow the steps as documented toward the bottom of this article.
