Inventor 2011 content center creation issue.

Hi, I'm a fairly new self taught Inventor user. I've been trying to add some of our bespoke extrusions into the content center using the structural shape wizard. Now the extrusion works perfectly when using the frame generator, however I want to be able to import straight from the content center into an assembly and specify the length. At the moment I can only chose from preset lengths taht I have configured using iparts. (The supplied extrusions from Autodesk work in the way that I want.)

Sorry if this seems unclear.

You need an iPart with a custom length parameter, then convert it to a CC component.

I'll be teaching an expanded content center class this year at AU.

Thanks for the reply.

I presume when creating the iPart I need to specify the cell I want to be dynamic as a custom parameter cell?

Edit: Not to worry I've figured it out. Working perfectly.

To clarify, the custom field can be either a single cell or an entire column.
