Inventor 10 Series - service packs?

I had to re-install Inventor 10/MDT 2006 the other day. I came to the support site to retrieve all the service packs, and I see Autodesk has discontinued anything previous to 2008. Is there somewhere else I can get these? Is there a mirror site?

Thanks.

I don't know what happen to 2006/10 but I do see a listing for Inventor
9 series at that link.

I'm looking for Inventor Series 8 service packs but don't see any on this list. Where can I find those?

Do you mean Inventor 8 or Inventor 2008? I've got the service packs for everything since Inventor 6 circa 2002, 2003.

If you send me your email address I can "mailbigfile.com" them to you.

If you can post your email address I can then use mailbigfile.com which will email you a link to then download the file. There was just one service pack for IV8, it's about 15Meg.

I've attached the txt file to this post.

You should be getting an email from mailbigfile.com with a link to download the file soon.
I've tried the link and it works fine.

Hope that helps,

Yes, I got the email and downloaded the SP (verified in "About Autodesk Inventor") - I was away for a few days. But I'm still having the same problems. When I launch Inventor, the Open dialog box appears. I've done several different things:
* opened a new Standard.ipt file
* opened a previously created part (when I had this loaded on my computer years ago)
* changed to a different project
I've also closed the Open dialog box and selected a new part and a new assembly to begin from. But Inventor still crashes.
Inventor still crashes. I've tried various combinations of the above as well.
Are there any other fixes available for this problem?
Is there possibly something wrong in my Windows registry?

Are you using a supported graphics card / driver combination? Did you install with Anti-Virus disabled?

Yes, I installed with the AV disabled, but no, the graphics card is not supported. However, when I first bought Inventor and installed it - back in 2004 - everything worked fine.

Try using "Software Graphics" in Tools > Application Options > Hardware. If this works then it is almsot certainly down to your graphics card / driver.

It looks like it worked! Thanks!
I went to Tools > Application Options and selected "Override recommended settings - use Microsoft GDI Generic OpenGL driver."
Now I remember that when I bought this laptop the graphics card was not an Autodesk certified card, but this work-around works. Thanks again.
