inv2013 model will not update after sketch edit.

Tried to do something that all other 3D softwares seem to have no problem with, even inventor at least when we were using the old versions.

Editting sketch - close sketch.     No model update.

This is an existing 3D model created with inv2011.  inv2013 does not like much of what we created in the old releases of inv.

Sketch gives me 1 dimension.  Part and drawing give the old dimension value.

This is yet another major sign of unstable software. Over 24 software issues discovered from changing  inv2011 to inv2013.

Attach file here that exhibits this behavior.

Have you applied all available service packs?

Thank you for your concern.

Sorry but this is R&D work, and I cannot send the materials you requested without prior consent.  Since it is R&D there will be no-one willing to give consent to distribulte this information outside of the corp virtual walls.

Actually I figued it out.  I had to delete the feature and then put it back in which is the way the invenotre 2013 works.

I forgot that part of inventor2013 is that you can no longer edit preexiisting model/assy features.  They must be deleted then put back in.

Can  you create a non-proprietary example that exhibits this behavior?

Looks like I spoke to soon.   The model still will not update to what the sketch dims say it is.

Very confusing.

Good again.  I shut down my pc, reopened inv2013 and the 1.0 dim is now 0.7.

All good!

Thank you for the info and your concern. Not sure which and I just do not have time to stop and look for it.

I'm just going to delete and put back in.  It takes lots more time, but I bill by the hour so it is actually good for me.  No more complaints from me.

Enjoy your summer.

PS I saw Robert Plant last friday for free @ the Taste of Chicago.  What a summer!

You might have more time if you actually solved the root problem.
If you don't have time in the short run to save time in the long run, perhaps it would make economic sense for your company to hire a consultant to come in for a day and get these problems sorted out.
