INV 6 Offset Workplane question

In Inventor 5.3 I could start the Workplane command, click on an existing workplane and then click on a face parallel to that workplane to set the offset distance for my new workplane. Now when I do that in INV 6 it doesn't place the new workplane at the face, but half way in between the previous workplane and the face. Is there any way I can still do this? This feature is crucial to some of the tubular parts I design. Thanks in advance. Mike

Start workplane command, click and drag the existing workplane or surface,
release mouse button and enter the offset you want.

To get an offset workplane, just click and drag
(hold down the left mouse button) from the first face (or plane)

If you want to offset to a parallel face begin the
workplane command, click on the 1st surface, RMB then select create point and
select a corner on the face you want to offset to and the plane will be created
on that parallel face.

May be that you have to drag it off further than
you might expect for the offset dialog to pop out.

I just fired up 5.3, and you had to select a point to create a parallel
workplane. If your first selection was a face or a workplane, it wouldn't
allow you to select a second face for the offset.

Thank Loren and Sean. I had forgotten that you did indeed have to pick a point on the face in 5.3. I tried the RMB Sean and it worked great. Thanks a lot, Mike
