In previous Inventor versions (2014 and before) when sorting BOMs by item number it would sort correctly. Ie, 30 items 1 to 30.
However when sorting BOMs by item number in 2015 it is incorrect. Ie, 30 items read 1,10,11,12.... 19, 2, 21.... 29, 3, 4, 5, etc. This is very inconvienient when trying to change numbers then re-order to suit drawings.
The only way around this and have items sort correctly is to make items 1-9 read as '01-09' which I don't want to do.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or is this a problem which Autodesk are intending to hotfix?
Cheers

Hi IvanoSimonetto4519,
you are correct. This is an unintended change in 2015.
Our quality assurance is already aware of this and this behavior is currently in backlog for our development.
But there is a simple workaround:
The sort order is not correct when sorting by cklicking column header.
If you use "Sort Items" you can sort by "Item". Then you can see that the sort order is correct.
Hope this information is helpful.
Still the same with 2015 SP1. Now even worse, because totally broken in English version, but works like in Dennis' hint in German version.
I'll try again.
Later: Seems refusing for a new sort by item, but is coming back to short life after another sorting criterium.
I don't like that behavior.
