Insert BMP into .dwg

I have been running Inventor 6 for 2 weeks, and its been going ca."ok". Have installed sp2.
Yesterday som IT-guru came and installed DME viewer, and..
In my titelblock I have a BMP,companylogo. it looks ok when I open the .idw, but when I rightclick to edit the titelblock i get the error "File not found. Embedding 60 cannot be found....bla bla". And the BMP has been shrunked to 1/4 of its orginal size, and its looking strange. The outer boarder looks to be the same as before, but not the picture.
The same happends when i try to make a new file and insert BMP-file

Reassociate the BMP extension to
MSPaint.

Another instance of an IT person flexing their
"microchip muscles", eh?

Just a shot in the dark, but I'd try
re-associating .bmp files back to the program that Inventor is expecting
(MS Paint - I think).  If you do a search for bmp and bitmap in this
newsgroup and older inactive inventor newsgroups, I think you'll find topics
similar to your problem.  You also should try to dis-associate the .bmp
extention inside the new viewer program so it doesn't 'steal' the .bmps
back when you start the viewer again.

see my Tips & Tricks tutorial page 8 # 18 on
how to do this.  It doesn't always work via File Associations.
Sometimes a regedit hack is required.

It isn't a matter of "Inventor expecting", it is a matter of a suitable bitmap
server.  There are a couple paint programs that work well but for sure, Microsoft's
Image composer isn't one of them.  If you have installed Microsoft Front
Page with Image Composer on your computer, then it registered itself as the
Picture/Paint server and is causing the problem.  Check Drew's site for how
to fix it.
