I am coming to Inventor from Solidworks where this is a very simple task, but I want to display the "finished" product with dimensions on our drawing but I can't find a way to do it. Any ideas?

Start a new drawing file (*.idw or *.dwg) place and annotate the views.
Exactly the same as SolidWorks (except the file extension is not *.slddrw).
I must be missing something?
Changing "visual styles" is essentially the same as well.
Have you gone through the Tutorials?
How much SolidWorks experience do you have?
Can you post your file here, I feel like I must not understand the question.
Ah, I think I wasn't clear. I want to place "finished" models, rendered or shaded/shaded.w.hidden_line models for example

You want to place them where?
Use the SolidWorks terms if you are not familiar with the Inventor terminology - eventually I will figure it out.
Can you attach example file(s)?
From the the discussion so far - I assume you want shaded with hidden lines removed in 2D drawing file. Is that correct?
or
maybe you are looking for Environments>Inventor Studio to create Rendered images?
Oh, just found it (sort of). I wanted to click the options under "Style" in the Drawing View window.
Much thanks
This works absolutely identically for me in Inventor or in SolidWorks? (I just double-checked in both programs to verify, because sometimes things become so automatic - I thought I must be missing something.)
Simply double click on the view in either program and select the desired display style.
