Importing Excel coordinates to Inventor

Hello everybody,

I can't find import points command at 2D sketch mode. I do right click at toolbar / customize / commands / 2D sketch and there is no import points. I run Autodesk Inventor 2007. Is this version supports this?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

I just started using Inventor in 2011.

I have to ask, if you are using 2007 Inventor, what version of office Excel are you using?

It doesn't look like this command was around in 2007.

I use MS Excel 2003. Looks like Autodesk Inventor 2007 does not support insert points command. I just want to draw a wing cross-section :bla bla. I'll try to find another way to do it by 2007.

Thanks a lot

Can you post a screen shot in the 2007 sketch environment.

I think it was there, somewhere, but need a jog of memory.

If I remember this has to be done in 3d sketch mode. If you want it on a 2d level in the Z column make them all the same like all Z to be 0

I don't think the 2d import came till 2008-2009..

But as JD I  don't remember long time ago if I was there I could tell you or take screen shot like JD asked for.
