does saving it as a AutoCAD dwg work?
Save As > Save Copy As > then choose "AutoCAD Drawings (*.dwg)"
HTH
yes, I saved it as a autocad .dwg work.
When I open it with autocad I have a drawing in paper space and nothing in model space !
Moreover, it's "impossible" to make an adjustement in paper space.
It's easier with CATIA V5, just open your dwg in model space. Simple to make an adjustement and to allow a easy layouts.
try reading through the options when you export
Thank you for your advice but I can't find an option when I export or procedure to solve my problem.
SOLVED ! thank you richos69
thats it
...sorry if answer was a bit short, I would normaly try to put up a screenshot...it was at the end of a 10 hour day and I think I have a kidney infection...off to doctor this morning (Im in australia so time difference meant i missed your next post)
This doesn't actually answer the question or solve the problem of bringing in a .IDW file into AutoCAD. This tells you an alternate way of doing this by avoiding the use of .IDW file format.
What happens if you do not have Inventor available to open and then re-export as a DWG format?
Thanks
Anyone have following installer?
