Import/Apply settings on first start

Is there any method (excluding deployment) by which to configure a users application options and user customization when they first run the machine?

Ideally i'd like to set a switch which effectively imports these two .xml files when a user first runs the program under their account.  I can mimic it by exporting some (a lot) of my registry keys by these are not maintained, the usercustomization.xml is.

Using Inventor 2012.

You may try using the shortcut target field commands posted in the below forum thread.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Hi Nate.  Thanks for getting back to me.  I have a vague recolection of reading that thread a few years back but yes it seems to confirm that the UserCommands cannot be imported how im looking for.

I have in the meantime exported a chunk of reg keys so i'll see how that goes.
