Import 3D (*.sat) without creating sketch

Hey,

When importing .sat files for example, a sketch is created in every part file.

Those sketches are empty except a single point at the origin coordinates.

The sketches are allway visible in the parts.

This is irritating in an assembly.

Is importing possible without creating those sketches in every part file?

Kind regards,

Jan

Hi! I must have done something different. I am not seeing the behavior. Could you attach a SAT file here or send it to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com)?

Thanks!

Solved!

Got the answer:

It is the Standard.ipt template you are using. I bet the template file has been edited and a sketch was added and saved. Then when you import SAT file, Inventor use Standard.ipt as the template. It just carries over the sketch.

Thanks guys!
