Implications of Intel onboard graphics

Hello. What are the implications of Intel onboard GPUs been "Not supported" in AutoCAD 2008/09 + Inventor 2008/09?

Autodesk only cite Intel 845G + 915G GPUs as "Not supported" for AutoCAD but I assume it's genetic. Autodesk provide more feedback on the 915G GPU for Inventor Cart Certification, with 1/3 of releases been "Recommended" assuming 512MB system RAM.

We do run AutoCAD/Revit 2008 on Intel G965 GPUs with 2GB system RAM, which leaves me wondering if it's a false-alarm regards Inventor on the 845G? That is to say, is its lack of support of 845G testable?

I seem to have raised false alarms for a "graphics card [with] 256MB [on-board] RAM" to make in-roads into SolidWorks+SolidCAM 2007/08 as testers were happy with 845G GPU performance on a 21x part Flange Ball Valve clip-art.

We're in the College sector. Thanks, MarkF

Not supported, doesn't mean that it won't run small assemblies. I believe if
you read, you will find issues with graphics card memory. Generally onboard
graphics cards are desktop office boxes, great for word processing and
spread sheets.
