IGS part in the Assembly doesn't show in the drawing

I have received a motor *.igs file from a vendor, placed it in the assembly and when I put assembly in the drawing the motor doesn't show.  Does anyone know a setting or a trick to resolve this?

The funny thing is when I place this motor by itself on a drawing everything is fine.

Thank You

Regards

William

Most likely it is a surface model.  By default, these do not show up in a drawing view of an assembly.

Find the part in the browser under the view, right click, and select "Include all surfaces."

You're welcome, glad I could help.

Your second method is actually what I prefer as well.  When possible I usually try to repair the surface model into a solid with stitching or sculpting, so I don't have to keep turning the surface model on in drawing after drawing.  Include Surfaces is a nice workaround for when you just can't get the part to stitch, or are only planning on using it once.
