IGES file defaults to open with 2012 not 2013 from explorer

I tried to change the "open with" to Inventor 2013 by browsing to the Inventor.exe in 2013 Bin folder but Inventor 2012 persists regardless. The IGES file was created using IV 2013.

Is there a trick to getting IGES files to open in the Windows Explorer with 2013 besides dragging & dropping them into IV 2013?

Did you ever find a solution to this?

You should be able to change the Windows default open-with program by RMB on the program, select the Open-With and then choose Other and then browse to the Autodesk-Inventor (year) folder and select the Inventor.exe program.

On the other side, this is a bad process of opening files with Windows Explorer, as you bypass the Project Folder Options and settings.

Just insert the picture rather than attaching it as a file

Thanks, but I've already tried this and IV 2014 won't show up in the program list, even if I browse to IV and show Windows where it is.  I've posted the query on the forums here but I was just wondering whether Gary had sorted his problem since it's likely related to mine.
