iFeature Placement

I have an iFeature created and I want to place it aligned to a rectangular surface which is not square to the coordinate system of the part. I have read in the help where I need to edit the coordinate system of a sketch but the problem comes in placing the iFeature. The feature does not refer back to the previously created sketch (with edited coordinate system) nor am I able to edit the coordinate system of the iFeature sketch once it is placed. If the angle of the rectangular surface relative to the part coordinate system was a know (nominal) value I would just enter that value into the orientation at placement. That, however, is not the case. Any suggestions?
