idw with barcode to pdf

Hi all, I use AddIn translator from Inventor (via VBA macro) to translate idw to pdf and I have problems with appearance of barcodes (3 to 9)- see attached file : bad result.pdf .  In resulting pdf gaps are bigger and font size smaller.

If I use a"common" pdf printer (e.g. CutePDF Writer ) problem is gone - see attached file :good result.pdf

Can anyone here help me ?

thank you,

Adrian Cristiean

I guess you have to use CutePDF.  We have had to switch to it recently as 2014 does not print our company logo to PDF using the builtin PDF printer.

@Anonymous What is the result like if you Export as PDF? (big I > export > pdf)

@coreyparks You are aware that there's a hotfix for embedded images? http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/downloads/caas/downloads/content/hotfix-inv18202-for-inventor-2014-service-pack-2.html

No, I wasn't aware, thanks.  Of course since they changed the website it's just about impossible to find anything.  I can't find this hotfix if I look on the website myself, lol.  According to the website the last 2014 hotfix was released on may 5th.

Hers the hotfix file in zip format, with both 32 and 64 bit versions

Thanks for that.  The link worked from the previous post I was just saying that if I go to the website and I look at the list of hotfixes this one doesn't show up.  The new site is terrible for finding service packs and hotfixes.

I think this is mainly a conversion / dpi thing...
At how many dpi are you making the pdf?
Is there a way to edit the settings in the addin you mention?
If you print with "cutepdf" what are the settings, mainly for downsampling?
It might be the barcode is not being recognized as a proper font.
