IDW to PDF without running Inventor

I am wondering if there is a way of exporting an existing IDW created in Inventor to DWF format without having to phycially open the IDW in Inventor ? I have a list of IDW's and some of them are referencing large assemblys and take a long time to open and it would be better if I could do a batch export outside the Inventor environment.

Thanks

You could try the Task Scheduler, tucked away in the Tools sub-folder in your Inventor Start bar folder.

Under the Create Task menu there's the option to "Publish DWF Files..." - give that a play and see what happens (don't use DWF so I admit I'm not that familiar with it.)

Hope that helps

Hi Anthony,

You can use the Task Scheduler to batch IDWs to DWF:

http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Inventor/enu/2014/Help/1283-Inventor1283/3922-Task_Sch3922/3943-Publish...

This can be done overnight if needed.

Gereral Task Scheduler info:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

This is great thanks, just what I was looking for, I'd forgotten about the task scheduler, I'll give it a go. Smiley Happy
