idw into word document

Hi

I need to save my idw's into a format where my client can insert them into a
office 2000 (word) document & be able too resize the image by dragging the
corners in & out etc (in word).
My drawings are just very simple outlines of furniture which are to used in
the creation of a catalog.
Any help on how to do this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Allan

Allan,

There are several ways to do what you want.

You can save copy as bitmap. Go to options when saving and set the
resolution to a high number like 2000 for both X and Y. This will make a
very large file. Load the file into a graphics program (Paint, Photo
Editor, LView, etc) and save as Jpeg file. This file will be much smaller
than bitmap. Delete the bitmap file.

You can also just hit the PrtSc button on the keyboard. Open a graphics
file and paste. You will see the image in most graphic programs. Crop to
get what you want and save as Jpeg file.

Now Insert - Picture - From File in word and select the Jpeg file.

The bitmap route will give better resolution.

You could output to DWF, and then in Word go to Insert>> Object >> and
select AutoCAD Express Viewer Control. You should get a box showing
on the page. Click out of the box, and then click back on it and you
will see the stretch controls. Right click and select Properties. From
there you can browse to the DWF you saved.

Another way is to go to www.techsmith.com and downlaod a trial copy of
SnagIt. Use SnagIt to make JPG's of your IDW's.

MWsnap is the best freeware I've come across for this purpose.
