I want to insert the UCS (x/y/z Axis icon) into a drawing view in my .idw - Inventor
I need to show the axis directions on a view in my .idw file.
How can this be done?
You can show the origin and axis of a model in a drawing view by toggling the visibility (and include) in the browser. There's also GD&T features that would allow you to define datums. Also, there are ordinate dimension that will allow you to define an origin for each view. See the image below, it has all of the above listed items shown in one view.
Hope that helps.
What I want is something like this:
I tried the include axis method, how do I get the origin mark (the half bmw logo 🙂 ?
Hi! You could insert the origin symbol by doing the following.
Start Ordinate Dimension command -> pick the center point -> right-click -> Ok.

How did you get this? Did you find any solution for this?
@Saqib.Iqbal You could just create a sketched symbol representing an origin like that and place it where you need it..
There isn't a built in way to turn on the 3D XYZ UCS indicator in the drawing environment.
