Re: I need a good 3d viewer!!!!

I agree that
VVE
 was more
trouble than it was worth.  It was a hassle for customers to get it loaded
correctly, you cannot measure with it, and (last I checked) the transparent
colors did not show correctly.  I even had one customer that could not open
many of their Autocad drawings after loading VVE.

Anyway, I have
started recommending Rhino3d (evaluation version) as a CAD viewer to
my clients.  It is free, loads easily, and customers can measure the CAD
geometry with it.  From your Inventor assembly, just save as STEP, and
email the file.  The downside of course is that all of the parts will be
gray when opened in Rhino.

I
need a good 3d viewer I can provide my customers that they can download for
free and use without major hassle so they can view IV6 files. It needs to be
easy to install and use, and produce decent pictures of the model. VoloView is
no more and was a PITA for the customers. I had posted this question once
before and can not find the link that was provided. I am considering the Acis
viewer from a place like

What are my options? Suggestions?
