Turn the switch off in your project file.

I have mine set to *8*

I just went through this discussion he other day. Since R1 I can recall
MAYBE one or two times I have actually needed to get back to an old version.
I save far too often to have it be useful (unless I were to set it to 10!).
I make nightly backups so the worst case scenario if a model totally blew up
would be a days lost work on one single part. Also setting your undo high
enough allows you to backtrack to the point where you screwed up.

Personally I don't see the need for it (in my situation, not to say others
don't need it) and the empty folders bother the heck out of me. (Now I
guess I can't make fun of the people who are bothered by not being able to
delete a shared sketch). It's just one of my annoyances...

I agree with you Sean. I too have a hard time recalling when I needed to go
back to a previous version. We too have nightly backups and you know as
well as I that it is always easier to do the second time and much easier the
third and sometimes you find a faster better way. So I don't sweat the
screw-ups too much, Jerry.....
