Hi! You could try using 3D Sketch -> Project to Surface -> Nearest. Wrap around may not work here because the target surface looks like a spline surface. Can I ask why you want to wrap the 2D sketch curves on the bulb shape? Are you going to trim the surface using the projected curves?

Thanks!

I am trying to wrap the circuit on the bulb, i am trying to find eaxct locations to solder my LED's

For that application it sounds like minor distortion would not be a problem.

Therefore you can wrap one leg to a cylinder, change to a portion of your bulb shape and pattern for the other legs.

Attach your file here if you can't figure it out.

It won't be luck, but what I need is time.

The (very) minor distortion is side-to-side on the narrow - not along the long length.

I will have to clean up your sketches first as there were extra lines and you can make use of patterns rather than complex sketch.

You can wrap a cylinder and then Revolve - Intersection the bulb shape.

I haven't had time to work with it.

Frankly I am reluctant to spend time on unconstrained sketches, patterned sketches, imported sketches....  ....just not an efficient way of using Inventor.

I would would start over from scratch just becuase that is the way I am.

For example,

I don't understand why these lines weren't drawn vertically.

It is (far) more work to draw at angle than vertical and in the end the part has symmetry about an axis.

And, as indicated, I would circular pattern the feature after creation rather than pattern a complicated sketch.
In fact, this sketch also has rectangular pattern so it could be simplified still further.

Hi! I am not sure what happened. The first attempt of posting the file always failed. This is not the first post I had problem. Anyway, here is a solution I come up with. It is not perfect. I think there should be a better way but this is the best I can come up with for now.

Thanks!
