Hi,
I've created a part with certain dimensions, and I need to decrease the dimensions with 2cm. i.e. the height, and the width, and the depth must be reduced by this lenght. So it can't be done by simply scaling the model. Wat's the best idea to achieve this? My first thought was to scale each dimension separately, but I don't know if and how this is possible.

Can you attach your *.ipt file here?

Hi! If you are on Inventor 2014 or earlier, you can use Move Face command to do that. If you are on Inventor 2015, you can use Direct Edit. If they don't help, please be more specific on what kind of geometry you are trying to reduce length.
Thanks!
There are two parts actually, and they're rather simple but I'm just a student yet.. for you, redrawing it would be even faster than resizing it, probably. Here are the two files
That direct edit tool seems to be a good option, although it'll take some time for me to discover how to use it properly.. Thanks
When you have fixed the parts - attach your corrected parts here and I will show how I would have made the changes.
Can't you simply edit the sketch dimensions?

Maybe these two parts would be easier to edit - simple edit sketch dimensions.
