How to model Piezoelectric pathes of Sensors and Actuators

Hello,

I have modelled Shell Funnel-Like structure in Autodesk Inventor 2012. Now I need to model Piezoelectric Actuators/Sensors  and glue to various place on curved funnel-like structure.  These patches are should take the shape of base where-ever I glue it ( like stickers). How do I achieve this?
Is it possible that I model this patch as seperate part and while assembling can I chose points on curved funnel-like structure  and wrap this patches to curved face.
I would greatly appreciate little help/ idea of how to go about.

Thanks and Regards,
Somu

You could use the Derived Component tool to use geometry from your funnel to model your patches. Look up "Derived Component" in Inventor help for more info.

Peace,
