I model this c-section and the crimping tool. But I can make a crimping mark on the surface. I have tried Loft, Punch Tool, Sweep,..., but they didn't work. Could any one help me?
Hi!
It's so much easier if you had done the part with loft flange ... at least you had the correct flat pattern.
Thank you for replying my post.
Hi
Your part... with a lot of surface work.
Drag the end of part to the end of the browser and wait a few minutes and your part will appear.
file in attach.
Hi CarlosC,
Great job! I've been caught by this problem for 3days, you solved it in no time! Awesome!
I lofted it in 3 different parts then assemblied them together. I can only use "surface" out put, no "solid". Here is the part I made. Could you look at it and point out what is wrong?
And, are you make the crimping mark in R4 radius? My press tool will be made base on this part.

Hi CarlosC,
Here is another one.
I assemblied Loft4, Loft_Middle & Loft_LH into one part. I knew it shouldn't make the part like that. It must be something wrong when I Loft them.
Could you sent me the part you made.

Jiming
Hi!
I cant open the assembly... missing the files ROTA90_LH.IAM and ROTA90RH.IAM.
I think you are entering a field that you don't dominate. These join between that surfaces is not easy. You have to do a little work with surfaces.
Take a look to the model attached...
Don't forget to drag the "end of part" until the end to see the part. (do you know what im talking about?)
Hi CarlosC,
I made one. Not the assembly. Fully use loft to generate. But the bottom of the part have exceeding material, making the bottom uneven.
I will email you the model.

HI!
You can drag the "end of part" to the top of the operations, the file will be a lot smaller, and then you can place it here.
Hi CarlosC
Maybe the file is to large. I can't attach the here.
I just relize that I don't have you email address. Could I have yours? So that I can email you the final edition.
My email is, jiming.zhang75@gmail.com.

Hi CarlosC,
This is the final model I made.

Hi!!
It's due to some corners. You have some exterior rounds with 0.9 radius.
When you apply 0.9 thickness for the inside, these radius have some issues to solve, because they became 0 in the interior.
Solution: You can manually create some of this surfaces, based in others with 0.90 thick, or you can increase the exterior radius to a little bigger then 0,90 in problematic corners.... like 0,95 for instance.
Take a Look in my model. and observe how I thicked the two parts first before the center loft.
I know my way will take more time and work, but i think the center loft will become more realistic..
