how to Import a PDF or Tiff file into Inventor 2011

I have heard that I can import a PDF file into Inventor, but how do I do?

In IDW file, you can use the option on the Ribbon menu: Manage >Insert Object, where in the available formats you have PDF and also Paintbrush pictures. Please see attached image.

The Import Object is not reliable.

Most if the times you use this command the result is very poor. In most cases

even unreadable.

Is there any other way to do it.

It´s a very common thing, so there has to be a way...

Cool, it doesn't work nicely with a 64-bit OS, but at least you can link it... however, when I tried to link, it did not give me the desired results so I eventually opened the pic in PDF and created an image of it using paint, then created a sketch on the surface in the IPT and used the decall command... back in the IDW right click selecting the view - edit view - shaded and voila.  A bit of a process, but it seemed to give me the desired effect I wanted... to superimpose an image on a flat sheet and show it in the drawing.

The bonus inside the sketch environment of the IPT, that you can apply linear constraints to the edges (if your pic was cut to correct edges inside paint).
