how to copy the frame design without linking?

i have an existing frame design by Inventor but then i wish to copy out the existing design and modify it !
so i try with the copy function in design assistant but then i found that after i modified the frame size or profile in the copied frame design, the existing frame design changed as well!
how to break the link between these two frame design on this case?

Hi weiloon,

You might try the add-in mentioned at this link:

I hope this helps.
Best of luck to you in all of your Inventor pursuits,

hi,

i tried the plug in clone and its great!

but i do have a problem with it. i copied the idw too aside from the parts but the idw has titileblock that links the part number in the iproperties of the ipt/asm and shows as the titleblock name.

eg. aaaa.idw = bbbb.idw file (after cloning) but the titleblock still shows aaaa. i open the cloned file bbbb.ipt and saw inside iproperties, the title and part number in iproperties still has the old name.

how to correct this ? i cant change it manually as parts is by the hundreds.
