How to constrain a part to the center of gravity

For some reason it will not let me constrain a part to the center of gravity plains. I would like to constrain lifting lugs to the center of gravity so the model will automatically update itself.  Is there anyway to make this work (using ilogic or anything)?

PS.

Why would Inventor tease me with showing me the center of gravity plains in an assembly but making them completely useless?

Good questions, there was a bit of code COG that created a grounded work point at the CG, this should work for your purpose. Must be part of the "Look but don't Touch" thinking.

You can find it at: http://www.cbliss.com/inventor/iCode/index.htm

I found this thread that might help you.  Their solution was to offset three new planes off of theones at the CG at a distance of 0.00 and constrain to those.

Thank you guys for your quick responses but I still can’t seem to figure this one out. I guess I will have to put this one on my “When I get some free time list”. Thank you guys again for all your help.
