How to Change default line weights??

I have created many parts and assemblies with default line weights and now when I try to print a large assembly the lines are too large. Is there anyway I can change the default .010 in. line weight to .002 or .004in?? I have tried to print without line weights and it makes the problem worse.. I have also tried changing the drawings themselves in (idw) format to a particular line type, That works however, it takes an immense amount of time.. If you have any advice I would love to hear it. Thank you in advance for your help.

tturnqui,

In the Print dialog there is a "Settings" group
which has a checkbox option "Remove object line weights".  Does this meet
your needs?

Thanks,

- Matt (Autodesk)

First off thank you for your quick responses..

In regards to the first response, No.. in the print dialog box by checking remove object line weights did not work for me..

For the second response, yes I found it in style and standard editor. I then made up my own standard "printable standard (ANSI)". After doing so i added in new line weights under the General tab. Press save. Then move down to the layers section on the right hand side. Here you can change the actual line weight. It took me a while to figure this out. I hope this helps everyone with my same issue..
