How to bend a sheet ...

Hi all can any one of u tell me how to bend a sheet to make a cylinder (In Sheet metal)...Regards, Murali

Start new "standard.ipt" part.

Revolve a profile 359 deg around an axis.

Select sheet metal under tab
applications.

Set sheet metal thickness same as profile
thickness
.

Before you select "flat pattern" select inner face
of tube.

Or start with the flat pattern and use the fold command.

Use the Contour flange command

See my example file in CF

Niemarkt thanks for ur response ...u suggested me to start with new "standard ipt" but i have to perform in "sheet metal ipt"

You can also start with "sheet metal.ipt". If
you want to revolve the profile just switch to "part features" and when youre
fineshed switch back to "sheet metal features".

What kind of file did you post?  The one in
iCF is named "filename=.dat".  I tried changing the extension to .ipt, but
it would not open in Inventor 7.
