How to add angle values of frame profile

Hi,

is it possible to add into parts list or into BOM values of frame angles??

Unfortunately, Inventor (I use Inventor 2013) does not offer this property by default in parts list settimgs. There are mass, file name, designer, project, status, vendor etc) but nothing about cut angles...! 😞

Can anyone help me?

P.S. I add JPG file with example that I need to get.

Check the 'Export' box in the parameters manager to reveal the parameters as iProperties.

You will need to add custom columns to your BOM/Parts list to see theese iProperties.

There is an example of how to do that in this post:

Let us know how you get on!

Paul

Thank you for response,

I added (look pic) colomns "Angle 1" and "Angle 2" (numeric values), but I still do not know how to make them to show automatically angle values!!??

Maybe some kind of VBA formula to iLogic field should be added?? or any other way??

You need to make sure that you've checked that 'Export' box in the part parameters manager...

Hi, thank you very much, it works, but only for "Miter", if I use "Trim/Extend" function - the value of angle is "Cut" - unfortunately it is not good! Is there another Inventor universal Custom property (obviously it should be something like "Tubing-angle" or smth like this - I do not know exactly...) that suites for both "Miter" as well as "Trim/Extend"?? -- Best Regards, Zach P Save a tree! Yes, I checked it, but it did not give me any desirable result.... Actually, I have already got a half solution: http://beinginventive.typepad.com/being-inventive/2012/06/frame-miter-cuts-in-bom-and-parts-list.htm... but it works only for "Miter" and does not work for "Trim/Extend". Maybe you can help with this? -- Best Regards, Zach P Save a tree! Please do not print this e-mail without need
