How does one lock sketch features to an axis?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to lock sketch features onto an axis or any other reference point. Also, if anyone knows how to bring in reference features (like in ProE) and could explain that to me as well, that would be much appreciated.

I am trying to extrude a figure off of one that has already been sketched, and the wrong lines keep moving when I change the dimensions.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum.

Use the "Project Geometry" command.

Oh, I just now found the lock feature in the Constrain section. But thank you for your reply! (:

Are you talking about the "Fix" constraint?

I thought you were just looking how to constrin lines to axis and planes.

I know that was my biggest question when I first started using Inventor.

I had to project the geometry first then constrain it to what I just projected.

Sorry if I misunderstood you.
