How do you spin the model so it orbits like its on a turntable?

When I was getting training in Inventor about 6 years ago, the instructor did a neat trick where he spun the model and it continued to orbit as if it were on a turntable.  I the way to do it is to grab one of the constrained orbit handles on the 3d orbit tool and slide the mouse to the right or left and let go. Then the model should continue to orbit on its own like an animation.  Is there a trick to this that I'm missing?  Or do I just need more finesse?

Hi

You must select the Orbit icon.

Press and hold the Shift key, click in the Orbit ring on the model, while doing all of this, drag the mouse to the left or right. This will start a spin of the model.

The speed of the mouse drag will detirmin the speed of the orbit.

Just click on the model to stop the spin.
