how can i get rid of the "extension" line on a diameter dim.

see attached jpg. I want to know if there is a way to get rid of the "extension line" that the diameter dimension creates?

as you can see it runs over the slots on my detail and looks confusing.

Yes I know that but what I wanted to know is if there is a way to get rid of that arc it draws that is covering up the slots. just wondering

The only options I see you having is to either rotate the dimension around until you see it disapear (which works for me), or edit the dimension style to hide the extention.

Currently, extension arcs are drawn automatically when arrowhead point out of the dimensioned arc and can not be turned off.

Hi,

You write "...when arrowhead point out of the dim...". Are you implying that the extension arcs can be turned off when the arrows point IN ? I can't manage to turn my arcs off whether arrows are pointing in or out on my Inventor 2015.

And I would really, really, like to turn these arcs off.
