Morning,
I received Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2012. I'm trying to install and it's saying that I need Hotfix KB971138 for Vista. I can't seem to locate the download link. I found a page that autodesk directs you too, but there's no Link that I can find. Has anyone been through this and found the fix?

Finally got it to work. Hope it was worth it!! Thanks to those who tried to help.
Hi,
I got the download file OK. Mine is the x86 version. When I try to unzip the file, I am told it is part of a multi disk zip file and it asks me to insert the last disk of the set. I am not presented with any options except OK and CANCEL.
What should I do to work around this problem?

Go ahead and put the last disk in and hit OK. Then you should be fine. The confusing part was, I was looking for a hotfix KB971138. That's not the name of the download when you request it, but it's the one you need. Worked perfect after a little messing around.
Good luck!!
2012 Inventor is pretty nice so far. I'm really liking it. No issues so far.
Nick.
I am not sure which last disk I should insert. I did not get any. All I got was one single exe file which I downloaded from Microsoft.

When you try installing the hotfix your getting the message to put the last disk in? What kind of media do you have 2012 on? Dvd's, Download, or Flash drive?
When I was installing the hotfix, I had to enter a password for the hotfix. Never seen that before but it worked.
It's talking about the last disk in the Dvd set. As in 9 of 9 or whatever the last may be. I had to do that for the update. It asked me for the last disk too, but that was for 2011.

This is the link here to get that hotfix. You will want to check the first one. Then follow step 2. When you get the email for the hotfix, there's a password at the bottom of the email you need to input and you should be good after that.
One last thing is to watch where you Unzip the files. I would click browse and unzip it to somewhrere you can find it. I just installed again on another pc in our drafting dept now and it worked fine. 2012 failed to install after 15min. Restarted the install and it's going fine now.
I have downloaded the correct link from microsoft. I then unzipped the files, but after i told me succesfully unzipped and I ra the program, it gave me a list of programs NOT installed and that was the only one on the list. How can I fix this?
Vista 32
when you click on the unzipped file it should just start installing the hotfix. It shouldn't give you a list to choose from. Once the hotfix is installed, then try installing Inventor again, and it should be able to install. I've done this on 3 pc's here at work and all went fine.
Microsoft says that the hotfix password expires every seven days. The password they provided me was more than seven days old and it did not work. Do I just keep trying and hope for the password to be updated?
When they send you the hotfix, at the bottom there should be 2 passwords that are good for 24hrs. Try the first one. If that doesn't work, then try the 2nd one.
Did they send you the hotfix? They should not send a email "Today" with a 7 day old password. If that's whats happening, you need to tell them that. I have an email from them that they renamed the file extension, and I can rename it back to what it needs to be and use it any day. If you have no luck with them, I can try to send you this file later if you like.
Hope this helps.
Using the Microsoft hotfix password with an expiration date of "05/06/11" (perhaps this is June 5 rather than May 6 as I originally thought) the hotfix unzip process started but stalled with an "Error Code 40". This led me to Microsoft's support system which quickly overwhelmed me with digital process instructions. Is there a simpler way to get Inventor 2012 to download to a 32 bit Vista PC?
