Hopefully simple Motion Constraints

Im just doing a simple project, and Ive been wondering this for months. How do I apply a montion contraint so that when I use a slider joint, it will stop at a specified point. Can anyone help me? This is I hope a simple task. Please and thank you.

Notice that when you create (or edit) the joint that there are two tabs to the dialog box.

Click on the Limits tab.

If you need more sophisticated timing - you might have to create named constraints and Drive or Animate - or go into Tools>Dynamic Simulation.

Can you attach your assembly here?

Great, thanks! That's all I need at the moment. Me and a friend have been toying around with it awhile and couldn't figure that one out. We are not the brightest ones haha
